Reading this book is one of the best things I have done for my health

I went on a business trip and took the book to read during my trip. I read a good part of the book on the
flight. When I arrived to my destination, during the 25 minute taxi rides from the hotel to work and back, I started to do some of the exercises and was greatly impressed about the positive effects I began to experience. During the trip. I found that my body is very receptive to quantum touch. The distant healing technique has been very effective. As I began using this technique in parts of my body where I had been experiencing problems such in my stomach, neck,
shoulders and back, the improvement that I have seen is absolutely amazing. I have experienced the sensations that Mr. Gordon indicates in the book and, the discomfort or pain has disappearded after a few minutes after beginning the exercise. The techniques are indeed very easy to do and they work! I highly recommend the book. I also purchased and can not wait to read "Supercharging Quantum Touch". I would also recommend the "Quantum Touch" website. They offer DVD's with 2 day workshops for beginners and more advanced people. I wish I would have heard about Quantum Touch many years ago. I feel great.

Fantastic Introduction to the power AND simplicity of energy healing

What a wonderful introduction to this type of energy healing! I bought the book to read in preparation for my first Level 1 course and it really helped me. Richards style of writing extends an open, loving invitation to all walks of life. Through his words, he translates the language and concepts of energy healing so that ANYONE can put the book down and start using the basic principles right away. I initially wanted to learn more about this technique just to help myself. I am a highly sensitive empath, who suffers from constant "psychic sponge" syndrome and have been seeking a way to help shield myself from others emotions and physical ailments. Through this book, he gave me simple, yet profound tools to protect myself and still help others with my gifts. The most significant tool is of all things--- BREATHE! I've always been a shallow breather and after reading this book and attending my first class, I realize that focused, mindful breathing, has been the key thing missing to really doing what I feel I'm here to do! This book cumulates, into one language, all the things I've learned and experienced for 46 years and has given me a path to actually putting it all together to help others. I now realize why most people claiming to be gurus and experts haven't been right for me -- they do everything but the most important aspect of helping people -- the energy work. When people are empowered like this, they can get unstuck from their current emotional and physical roadblocks to actually experience sustained healing. I'm currently working towards becoming a practitioner. I would love to be able to use this technique someday to help wounded and disabled veterans in recovery. This technique has helped me cope with my own personal mental, physical and spiritual issues and our returning veterans suffer many of the same things. I practiced an hour session with my husband today who has chronic pain after reading and practicing...and my God, it worked. Was literally buzzing with energy. It was a powerful experience and my husband is pain free. Why we do not practice this as a society and lean on big Parma instead is nuts.

Not like Castaneda's book at all

I really enjoyed the interview on Coast to Coast am with Thunder Strikes and I was prompted to buy this book when he said Carlos Castaneda's books were "elementary school" and that this book was a" Master's degree". Therefore, I anticipated the arrival of this book. Unfortunately, I forced myself, agonizingly, to read the first fifty pages and then gave up. It was meticulous and boring, unlike Castaneda, whose mystical teachings unfolded through his parables. Thunder discredits himself positing Castaneda's works are, inferior to his. True Shamans need not dishonor other teachers to bring attention to themselves. Thunder may have more knowledge and be from an "elitist" society of mystics, but he does not articulate his theories in a way that is accessible and enjoyable for reading.

A Fairy Tale with a Twist

"The Princess kissed the frog. He turned into a prince.And they lived happily ever after..." Well not really. The Princess nags; the Frog Prince has bad amphibian habits that drive her crazy and neither are living very happily. So the Frog Prince decides to go out and find a witch to turn him back into a frog. Along the way, he meets familiar characters from other stories and finds out that maybe life wasn't so bad after all, with the princess. In fact, upon returning home, the Frog Prince kisses the Princess and... This is a silly, irreverent story, told in hip language, with a wonderful twist at the end that will delight and amuse children of all ages. Steve Johnson's illustrations are marvelous and add just the right touch to compliment the story. Great fun for the entire family, The Frog Prince Continues is a story not to be missed.

One of the most original books I've ever read!

It's 9PM. The kids are all bathed, jammied up, tucked in, and ready for their bedtime story. I've had a hard day and my powers of creative book selection are nonexistent. Do I go with critter books or Seuss? Neither - at least not since I found "The Frog Prince Continued" by Steve Johnson and Jon Scieszka. In what has to be one of the most original and entertaining books of any kind, the authors have managed to combine wacky graphics with wonderfully off-center fairy tale fragments to create a story that begs to read over and over. Ever since she kissed his "slimy frog lips", the Prince and Princess have been whining and nagging about married life and the poor Prince can see only one way out of the turmoil - to find a witch that can turn him back into a frog. His hilarious journey through all of fairy-tale witchdom in search of his amphibious ends simply begs to be supplied with your own creative voices. When he meets his match in the definitely blonde and ditzy godmother from Cinderella, his situation goes rapidly downhill. Does he live to hop another day? Will the princess take him back? The perfect happy ending will satisfy both you and your kids and will keep you reaching for this book time after time. If I had one wish, it would be for Steve and Jon to fracture another fairy tale in a so elegant and entertaining fashion

A fairy tale for all ages

With beautiful illustrations and a witty story, this book takes the phrase "happily ever after" and turns it into a fairy tale of its own. The frog prince, tired of his nagging wife, heads back into the forest to rediscover happiness. His encounters with witches from various legends bring him to the realization that he was better off at home.
This book makes a great gift for your significant other after you've had a fight.

Readable and Useful

A very readable book outlining a workable theory and solid techniques for treating DID/MPD. Systems theory clarifies the client's internal relationships by helping the therapist identify the roles and functions of the internal system without pathologizing extreme parts. It goes farther than most books in helping therapists understand their role in the relationship dynamics along with the stresses and strains expected in working with deeply traumatized clients.

About the Author

Murray A. Straus is the founder and co-director of the Family Research Laboratory, and professor of sociology at the University of New Hampshire. He has been president of the National Council on Family Relations and two other scientific societies. He is the author or co-author of numerous books, including Beating The Devil Out Of Them: Corporal Punishment in American Children; Understanding Partner Violence: Prevalence, Causes, Consequences, and Solutions; and Stress, Culture, and Aggression. In addition he has written over two hundred articles on the sociology of the family, South Asia, and rural sociology.

Richard J. Gelles is dean of the School of Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania, where he holds the Joanne T. and Raymond H. Welsh Chair of Child Welfare and Family Violence. He is the author of The Violent Home: A Study of Physical Aggression Between Husbands and Wives, Family Violence, and Behind Closed Doors: Violence in the American Family.

Pramod Reddy is a nationally recognized expert on advanced construction technologies, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), semantic database development, and mobile applications and cloud computing. K.P. served on the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) BIM Task Force and as an adjunct professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Excellent book, it is a reference. But their is mistakes in chapter 7, Measurement: the return on investment model.
I contacted the publisher to fix this issue but they didn't.
